    INVITATIONS
     
    We are very honoured to invite you to the 15th International Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference "THE REGION: HISTORY, CULTURE, LANGUAGE", which will be held on the 14th of May, 2026 in Šiauliai Academy of Vilnius University (Šiauliai, Lithuania).

    Researchers of different fields are invited to participate and discuss the subject using different perspectives.

    Suggested topics:

    • Methodologies and methods in regional research;
    • Regions in historical research;
    • Cultural and communication memory in the region;
    • Regional policy and governance;
    • Region in ethnology, anthropology and cultural research;
    • Regional identity, mentality and self-awareness;
    • Ethnographic peculiarities of regions;
    • Linguistic understanding of the region, territorial and social dialects, language specifics;
    • Regional literature and regional authors, regions and regionality in literature;
    • Traditional and contemporary applied and visual art expression in the region;
    • Development opportunities for the design sector in the region;
    • Regions in the context of informal art education;
    • The specifics of musical folklore in the regions;
    • The peculiarities of creation, dissemination and perception of professional music in the regions.

    We invite you to participate in the conference “European Youth at the Crossroads”, which will take place on 14th of May 2026 at Political Science Department of Alexander Dubček University in Trenčin (Slovakia).
     
    The contributors are invited to present on topics such as Youth and Democracy, Youth and political participation, Security and safety of Youth, Growing up and maturing in the virtual world, Economic perspectives of the youth, Social security of the youth, psychology of youth, Values of young generations, etc.
     
    The conference will be organized in hybrid mode via MS Teams and on site at the Alexander Dubček University in Trenčin. Language of the conference is English. 
    Abstracts of proposed papers should be submitted to uros.pinteric@gmail.com. 
    Deadline for submission of the abstracts is 15.2.2026, authors will be notified on selection results by the 25.2.2026.
